Test Step 3. Test for Open Lower Cab
426-5 Transmission
Wiring Harness.
Neutralizer Pressure Sensor
Current Is Below Normal -
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
Continued
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
2. Remove left lower cab access
panels (WP 0347).
3. Remove transmission ECM cover
(WP 0266).
4. Disconnect connector C-C12
(WP 0012, Figure 26) from
Transmission ECM J1.
5. Using digital multimeter
Resistance 5.0 Ohms or Less -
(WP 0174), measure resistance
Replace transmission ECM (WP 0266).
between connector C-C12
Proceed to Test Step 4.
(WP 0012, Figure 26) terminal 37
Resistance Greater Than 5.0 Ohms -
and terminal 21.
Replace lower cab wiring harness
(WP 0291).
Proceed to Test Step 4.
Test Step 4. Verify Malfunction Is
Resolved.
1. Ensure all wiring harness
connectors are connected.
2. Install transmission ECM cover
(WP 0266).
3. Install left lower cab access panels
(WP 0347).
4. Using MSD, check for active
Diagnostic Code 426-5 Transmission
diagnostic codes (WP 0008).
Neutralizer Pressure Sensor Current
Is Below Normal Becomes Inactive -
Troubleshooting complete.
Diagnostic Code 426-5 Transmission
Neutralizer Pressure Sensor Current
Is Below Normal Remains Active -
Repeat troubleshooting from the
beginning.
