Test Step 3. Test for Voltage at LH
Blackout Stoplight.
1. Turn battery disconnect switch to
OFF position (TM 5-3805-298-10).
2. Remove left rear tail and backup
lamp housing (WP 0272) and
position aside.
3. Disconnect connector M-C17 and
M-C23 (WP 0012, Figure 157)
from left rear tail light.
4. Turn battery disconnect switch ON
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
5. Have an assistant press and hold
the brake pedal in (TM 5-3805-
298-10).
6. Using digital multimeter
Voltage 18 to 26 V Replace LH rear
(WP 0174), test for voltage
taillight (WP 0272).

Proceed to Test Step 8.

Voltage Less Than 18 V Replace

Test Step 4. Test for Faulty Military
Light Switch.
1. Turn battery disconnect switch to
OFF position (TM 5-3805-298-10).
2. Remove military light switch panel
for access to wiring harness
connectors (WP 0257).
3. Disconnect connector HN-C21
(WP 0012, Figure 141) from
military light switch (WP 0012,
Figure 142).
