Test Step 5. Test for Open Wiring
Harness.
1. Remove right rear tail and backup
lamp housing (WP 0272) and
position aside.
2. Disconnect connector M-C10 and
M-C13 (WP 0012, Figure 158)
from right rear tail light.
3. Remove left rear tail and backup
lamp housing (WP 0272) and
position aside.
4. Disconnect connector M-C17 and
M-C23 (WP 0012, Figure 157)
from left rear tail light.
5. Install a jumper wire between
M-C17 (WP 0012, Figure 157)
terminal 1 and M-C23 (WP 0012,
Figure 157) terminal 1.
6. Using digital multimeter
Resistance 5.0 Ohms or Less
(WP 0174), measure resistance
Replace LH and RH rear taillight
between connector HN-C21
(WP 0272).
(WP 0012, Figure 141) terminal N
Proceed to Test Step 8.

Proceed to Test Step 6.
Test Step 6. Test for Open Main Cab
Wiring Harness.
1. Disconnect connector C-C60
(WP 0012, Figure 165) from
connector HN-C7 (WP 0012,
Figure 166).
2. Using digital multimeter
Resistance 5.0 Ohms or Less
(WP 0174), measure resistance
Replace main cab wiring harness
between connector C-C60
(WP 0293).
(WP 0012, Figure 165) terminal 7
Install rear tail and backup lamp
and ground.

Proceed to Test Step 8.
Resistance Greater Than 5.0 Ohms
Proceed to Test Step 7.
