HYDRAULIC FAN SPEED TEST

WARNING
Hydraulic fan will be in operation. Use eye protection, gloves, and hearing protection
during this procedure. Failure to follow this warning may result in injury to personnel.
1. Connect MSD (WP 0008) select Transmission 924H, and verify there are no active diagnostic codes.
a. Diagnostic codes active, repair active diagnostic codes before proceeding (WP 0008).
b. Diagnostic codes not active, proceed to step 2.
2. Visually inspect hydraulic cooling fan blades (Figure 1, Item 2) for reflective tape.
a. Reflective tape present, proceed to step 6.
b. Reflective tape missing, cracked, peeling, or painted proceed to step 3.
3. Remove four bolts (Figure 1, Item 4), washers (Figure 1, Item 5) and fan grille (Figure 1, Item 3) from fan guard
(Figure 1, Item 1).
4. Attach reflective tape to one fan blade (Figure 1, Items 2).
5. Install fan grille (Figure 1, Item 3), four washers (Figure 1, Item 5), and bolts (Figure 1, Item 4), on fan guard
(Figure 1, Item 1), and secure cooling fan.
