ENGINE OIL FILTER REMOVAL

1. Drain engine oil (see procedure in this work package).
2. Position drain pan under engine oil filter (Figure 4, Item 2) and turn engine oil filter (Figure 4, Item 2) counter-
clockwise to remove from engine oil filter base (Figure 4, Item 1).

NOTE
Lubricate new oil filter seal with a light coat of clean engine oil.
1. Turn new empty engine oil filter (Figure 4, Item 2) clockwise to install on engine oil filter base (Figure 4, Item 1).
2. Tighten new engine oil filter (Figure 4, Item 2) until seal contacts base, then tighten an additional 3/4 to 1 full
turn, and remove drain pan.
3. Fill engine oil (see procedures in this work package).
