Contact with refrigerant can cause frostbite. Keep hands and face away to prevent
personal injury.
Protective face shield and gloves must always be worn when refrigerant lines are opened,
even if gauges indicate air conditioning (A/C) system is empty.
Always use caution when disconnecting fittings. Slowly loosen fitting in well-ventilated
area.
Do not smoke when servicing A/C or wherever refrigerant gas may be present.
Failure to follow these warnings may result in injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
Replace receiver/dryer if one or more following conditions occur before purging A/C
system:
A/C system has been previously opened for service.
Too much air or moisture in A/C system, indicated by low refrigerant.
Receiver/dryer has been operated for 2 or more years.
A/C system has been opened for longer than 5 minutes.
