WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Failure to follow this warning may result in injury or death to
personnel.
CAUTION
Cooling fan blades are situated inside of fan shroud. Use care when removing and
installing coolant pack to prevent damage to cooling fan or radiator.
NOTE
Coolant pack weighs 150 lb (68 kg).
The procedure for cooling pack fasteners removal and replacement is identical for left-
hand and right-hand cooling pack fasteners. Left-hand cooling pack fasteners are shown
in this procedure.
1. Attach sling and lifting device to coolant pack (Figure 41, Item 1).
2. Using lifting device, install coolant pack (Figure 41, Item 1), two nuts (Figure 41, Item 2), and bolts (Figure 41,
Item 3) on frame (Figure 41, Item 4).
3. Repeat step 2 for right side of coolant pack.
4. Remove sling and lifting device from coolant pack (Figure 41, Item 1).
