REMOVAL CONTINUED
WARNING
Diesel fuel is combustible and an irritant. Skin and eye protection is required. Ensure work
area is well ventilated.
Keep away from open flame and other ignition sources.
Failure to follow these warnings may result in injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
Plug and cap all hoses and fittings to prevent contamination.
9. Disconnect fuel pressure regulator line (Figure 5, Item 2) from cylinder head (Figure 5, Item 3) and remove
O-ring (Figure 5, Item 1). Discard O-ring.
10. Disconnect fuel pressure regulator line (Figure 5, Item 2) from high-pressure fuel pump (Figure 5, Item 5) and
remove crushwasher (Figure 5, Item 4). Position fuel pressure regulator line aside. Discard crushwasher.
11. Remove clip (Figure 5, Item 8), disconnect fuel line fitting (Figure 5, Item 7), and remove O-ring (Figure 5,
Item 6) from high-pressure fuel pump (Figure 5, Item 5). Discard O-ring.
