WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Failure to follow this warning may cause injury or death to
personnel.
NOTE
Each battery weighs 73 lb (33 kg).
1. With assistance, install two batteries (Figure 3, Item 2) in battery box (Figure 3, Item 1).
2. Install three J-hooks (Figure 3, Item 5), holddown bar (Figure 3, Item 3), and three new locknuts (Figure 3,
Item 4) on battery box (Figure 3, Item 1).

NOTE
Install wires as tagged and marked during removal.
Install battery cables in position and routing as noted during removal.
1. Install positive battery cable (Figure 4, Item 8) on battery (Figure 4, Item 7) and tighten nut (Figure 4, Item 9).
2. Install battery tie cable (Figure 4, Item 6) on battery (Figure 4, Item 7) and tighten nut (Figure 4, Item 5).
3. Install positive cable (Figure 4, Item 10) on battery (Figure 4, Item 4) and tighten nut (Figure 4, Item 11).
4. Install negative battery cable (Figure 4, Item 2) on battery (Figure 4, Item 4) and tighten nut (Figure 4, Item 3).
5. Position four cable connection covers (Figure 4, Item 1) on connections.
