WARNING
Hydraulic oil is very slippery. Immediately wipe up any spills. Failure to follow this warning
may result in injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
Install fittings as noted during removal.
Remove plugs and caps from hoses and fittings.
The procedure for backhoe swing cylinder removal and replacement is identical for left-
hand and right-hand backhoe swing cylinders. Right-hand backhoe swing cylinder is
shown in this procedure.
1. Install two new O-rings (Figure 6, Item 6) and fittings (Figure 6, Item 4) on backhoe swing cylinder (Figure 6,
Item 3), and tighten nuts (Figure 6, Item 5).
2. Install new O-ring (Figure 6, Item 2) and fitting (Figure 6, Item 8) on backhoe swing cylinder (Figure 6, Item 3),
and tighten nut (Figure 6, Item 1).
3. Connect hydraulic hose (Figure 6, Item 7) to backhoe swing cylinder (Figure 6, Item 3).
