Remove the hydraulic reservoir return filter
assemblies and replace filter elements as follows,

Caution: Extreme care must be exercised when
r e m o v i n g filter while oil is hot to prevent hands
from getting burned.

Recommended servicing procedures for clean-
ing the suction filter element are described below.
During normal operation, oil is drawn from the
r e s e r v o i r through the filter element under equal
p r e s s u r e by the main hydraulic pump before en-
t e r i n g the hydraulic system. However, when the
f i l t e r element becomes excessively plugged with
foreign material or contaminants, a difference in
p r e s s u r e within the reservoir and the inner side
of the filter element will be created. When the pres-
sure difference reaches 2.4 psi, the cover type re-
lief valve incorporated at the top of the filter
assembly will open permitting the hydraulic oil to
