OPERATING TECHNIQUES
Hitching Attachments
1. Start the loader and raise the coupling hitch
so the locking wedges may be seen from the
operators seat. Activate the locking wedge
switch several times in each direction to
familiarize yourself with switch operation in
relation to locked or unlocked wedges.
The locking cylinder is collapsed when locked
and extended when unlocked.
3. Raise the attachment about two feet. PuII
the tilt lever into the detent position and
release. The tilt lever will automatically return
to the neutral position when the attachment
reaches a level position.
4. Raise the attachment high enough to see
the locking wedges. Lock the wedges in position.
5 If a hydraulic attachment has been coupled,
remove all hydraulic dust covers and connect the
attachment hydraulic lines to the fittings on the
lift arms.
NOTE
When operating for several days without
changing attachments, activate the wedge
locking switch in the lock position for
a second or two to make sure the wedges
are tight.
Unhitching Attachments
1. Disconnect any hydraulic lines between the
attachment and the loader.
2. With the wedges unlocked, tilt the hitch
forward 30-40 degrees and drive the loader to
the attachment with the hitch top tube at a level
slightly lower than the hooks on the attachment.
If the hitch and attachment are not square to
each other, maintain slight pressure against the
attachment by using the throttle and at the same
time, articulate the loader as needed until the
top tube of the hitch contacts both hooks of the
attachment.
2. With the attachment raised about two feet
off the ground, unlock the wedges. Tilt the
attachment forward 30-40 degrees.
3. Lower the attachment to the ground. Con-
tinue lowering until the top tube of the hitch is
slightly lower than the hooks on the attachment.
Drive loader in Reverse away from attachment.
