SYSTEMS OPERATION
OPERATORS STATION
INDIVIDUAL CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
3. Indicator, Master Fault Light and Fault Alarm
A. Low Brake Air Pressure
The brake air pressure circuit is activated by the normally open 9G8009
Pressure Switch that measures air pressure. It is closed if the pressure is above
517 kPa (75 psi), but if the pressure goes below 448 kPa (65 psi), the switch
opens and the brake air pressure indicator on the operator panel turns ON. The
operator panel also sends current to turn ON the master fault light and, if the
fuel pressure switch is open (engine running), sends current to activate the fault
alarm.
LOW BRAKE AIR PRESSURE SWITCH
LOW BRAKE AIR PRESSURE INDICATOR
1. Low brake air pressure switch.
2. Brake air pressure indicator.
