Every 500 Service Hours or 3 Months
FINAL FILTER
1. Remove the fuel filter with a strap-type
wrench.
4. Install the new filter element by hand.
When the gasket contacts the base, tighten
1/2 turn more.
CAUTION
Do not overtighten the filter element.
5. Prime the fuel system (see the next
topic).
2. Clean the filter base gasket surface.
Remove all of the old gasket.
6. Start the engine and check for leaks.
3. Lubricate the new filter gasket with
clean diesel fuel.
