ENGINE CRANKCASE BREATHER
WARNING
When using pressure air, wear a protective
face shield and protective clothing. The
maximum air pressure must be below 205
kPa (30 psi) for cleaning purposes.
WARNING
Use all cleaning solutions with care.
3. Inspect the seal. Replace the seal, if it
is damaged.
1. With the engine stopped and cool,
loosen the crankcase breather bolt and the
hose clamp.
4. Install the breather. Tighten the hose
clamp. Tighten the breather bolt to 14 ± 3
N·m (10 ± 2 lb ft).
2. Remove the breather. Wash the
breather in clean, nonflammable solvent.
Shake or blow it dry.
