( C o n t ).a .b.If multimeter does not indicate 24 volts, press bottom 5 amperecircuit breaker button located on right instrument panel. Ifmultimeter indicates 24 volts momentarily or still does not in-dicate 24 volts, refer to page 3-71 instrument panels trouble-shooting. If multimeter now indicates 24 volts, go to step 1above.If multimeter indicates 24 volts, place ignition key switch inoff position. Reconnect wire lead terminals disconnected aboveby grasping between fingers and firmly pushing them together. Goto step 3 below.Step 3.Disconnect flow switch red wire lead from wiring harness red wirelead by grasping terminals with fingers and firmly pulling apart.Connect multimeter between flow switch red wire lead and clean metala r e a o f c h a s s i s.Place ignition key switch in on position.Multimeter shall indicate 24 volts.a. If multimeter does not indicate 24 volts(page 8-14)., replace flow switchb. If multimeter indicates 24 volts, place ignition key switch inoff position. Reconnect wire lead terminals disconnected aboveby grasping between fingers and firmly pushing them together. Goto step 4 below.Step 4.Disconnect flow switch orange wire lead from wiring harness orangewire lead by grasping terminals with fingers and firmly pulling a-part .Connect multimeter between flow switch orange wire lead and cleanmetal area of chassis.Start and operate engine at idle speed.Multimeter shall indicate 24 volts.a. If multimeter does not indicate 24 volts, replace flow switch(page 8-14).b. If multimeter indicates 24 volts, go to step 5 below.Step 5. Pull out fuel shutoff control to stop engine but don’t place igni-tion key switch in off position: leave ignition key switch in runp o s i t i o n .Check that multimeter indicates zero.3-148
