Strip 1/4 inch insulation from end of wires taking care not to cutthrough wires. Splice ends of new wire to ends of harness wire using in-sulated splice connectors.Repair cracked or broken wire insulation by wrapping insulation tapearound damaged area of wire.Repair cut or frayed harness outer covering by wrapping insulation tapearound damaged area.Replace friction-type terminals by cutting harness wire as close to ter-minal as possible. Strip 1/4 inch insulation from end of wire taking carenot to cut through wire then crimp new terminal securely onto wire.Repair cab upper wiring harness connector as follows:( a)Remove contact with wire from connector as shown using contact removaltool to depress contact tabs. Cut wire as close to contact as pos-s i b l e .(b)Strip 1/4 inch insulationfrom end of wire takingcare not to cut throughwire.
