At fuel injection pump, check accelerator cable movement as an as-
s i s t a n t d e p r e s s e s a n d r e l e a s e s a c c e l e r a t o r p e d a l.
a. If movement is not seen, repair or replace accelerator linkage
(page 4-54).
b. If movement is seen, go to step 5 below.
While assistant cranks engine
using ignition key switch,
check for fuel leaks at fuel
i n j e c t o r l i n e s .
a . I f f u e l l e a k s a r e s e e n,
t i g h t e n f u e l l i n e s . If
tightening does no good,
notify next higher mainte-
n a n c e l e v e l ( f u e l i n j e c t or
lines must be replaced).
b . I f f u e l l e a k s a r e n ot
seen, go to step 6 below.
