Position bearing (21) on transfer gear hub. Using 3-1/4 inchesinside diameter sleeve, press bearing onto hub until bearing is seatedagainst hub shoulder.Position 12 washers (17) and capscrews (16) on one clutch plate (18).Position high range clutch hub (20), clutch plate (19), and remainingclutch plate (18) on capscrews (16) and clutch plate (18).Install six new lock plates (15) and twelve nuts (14). Tighten nuts (14)to 14 to 18 lb-ft.Using chisel and hammer, bend lock plate (15) corners against nuts (14).Install retaining ring (13) in groove on splined end of high range clutchhub (20) using retaining ring pliers.Put high range clutch piston housing (12) in hydraulic press. Put sleeve(9) in position on piston housing hub. Using 7/8 inch inside diametersleeve, press sleeve onto piston housing hub until it contacts shoulderon housing hub.Put bearing (4) inPress bearing ontosleeve.position on high range clutch piston housing (12) hub.sleeve (9) and hub. Use 1-1/2 inches inside diameterInstall new seal (10) at inner hub of high range clutch piston housing(12). Be sure to connect ends of seal.
