Remove three setscrews (11).
Put planetary gear spider (3) in
hydraulic press, face down.
Using 1-3/4 inches diameter rod,
press three pinion shafts (12)
from planetary gear spider (3).
Remove and discard three O-rings
(13) from groove on pinion
shafts.
Remove three thrust washers (14).
Remove three pinion gears (15).
Remove three thrust washers (16).
NOTE
Don’t perform following step unless inspection indicates replacement of
thrust buttons (17 and 18) is necessary.
This will be indicated by
lubricant stains on outside of planetary gear spider (3) in area that
thrust buttons are installed.

Remove three thrust buttons (17) using 1/4 inch point drive pin punch and
hammer bearing on shaft of thrust button. Remove thrust button (18) using
3/4 inch point drive pin punch and hammer.
Remove retaining ring (19), then remove sun gear (20) from axle shaft (4)
using puller.
Remove cone and rollers (21) from ring gear hub (10).
Put wheel hub (31) in hydraulic press,
brake disk (26) side down.
Press cone and rollers (22) and oil seal
(23) from wheel hub (31) using 4-1/4
inches diameter sleeve. Discard oil
seal.
Remove 16 capscrews (24), washers (25),
and four dowels (27).
Remove brake disk (26) from wheel
hub (31).
