If removed, install 12 studs (30) in wheel hub (31). Install by pressing
into hub using hammer.
If removed, install two new bearing cups (28 and 29) in wheel hub (31).
Firmly seat bearing cups (28 and 29) using hammer and 3/4 inch point
drive pin punch. Install bearing cups evenly.
Position brake disk (26) on wheel hub (31).
Install four dowels (27), 16 washers (25), and capscrews (24). Install
dowels in every fourth hole. Tighten capscrews securely.
Put wheel hub (31) in press, brake disk (26) upward.
Lubricate cone and rollers (22) using
gear oil. Put cone and rollers in
wheel hub (31).
Apply retaining compound to outer
circumference of oil seal (23). Put
oil seal in position in wheel hub
(31), lip of seal upward.
Using 6-1/2 inches diameter
sleeve, press oil seal (23) into
wheel hub (31) until seal stops –
moving.
Lubricate ring gear hub (10)
using gear oil.
Install cone and rollers (21) on ring gear hub (10). If necessary, use
1/4 inch point drive pin punch and hammer to drive cone and rollers
evenly onto hub.
If removed, press thrust button (18) and three thrust buttons (17) into
planetary gear spider (3). Use hammer to seat thrust buttons.
Put planetary gear spider (3) in
hydraulic press, face up.
Put three small inside diameter
thrust washers (16) on planetary
body . Be sure tab is installed
in planetary gear spider (3)
notches.
Install three pinion gears (15)
on thrust washers (16).
