TM 5-3805-262-34INSTALLATION (SHEET 1 OF 2)a. Put bracket (4) in position on hydraulic pump and install one lock washer (2)and capscrew (1) through a mounting hole in hydraulic pump and bracket.b. With an assistant, lift bracket (4) and hydraulic pump (3) into position ontransmission. Turn hydraulic pump as necessary to engage pump shaft withtransmission coupling. While assistant supports hydraulic pump, start capscrew(1) into mounting hole on transmission.c. Install remaining lock washer (2) and capscrew (1). Tighten capscrews (1) to135 to 165 lb-ft.d. Connect steering and hydraulic systems hoses, lines, and fittings to hydraulicpump (refer to TM 5-3805-262-20).e. Connect front wiring harness connector to rear wiring harness connector (referto TM 5-3805-262-20).f. Install heater hoses clamps (refer to TM 5-3805-262-20).g. Fill hydraulic reservoir with oil (refer to TM 5-3805-262-20).NOTEIf new hydraulic pump (3) was installed, perform step h below. Other-wise, go to step i below.h. Perform run-in procedure for new hydraulic pump (3) as follows:(1)(2)(3)(4)(5)Start engine and operate at 800 rpm for two minutes.With engine operating at 800 rpm, hold BUCKET control lever in CROWD po-sition for five seconds, then return BUCKET control lever to neutral for15 seconds. Repeat this cycle for two minutes.Operate engine at 1200 rpm and repeat step (2) above.Increase engine speed to full throttle and repeat step (2) above.Turn off engine and go to step i below.Do not operate engine at more than 1000 rpm while buzzer sounds.i. Start engine and operate at 1000 rpm. When buzzer stops sounding, operateengine at 1500 rpm.3-613
