3-21. CHECKS AND ADJUSTMENTS AND FLOWMETER TESTS (CONT)
a. Main Relief Valve Pressure Setting Check (SHEET 2 OF 2).
(c) Place BUCKET control lever (2) in NEUT. position for 30 seconds.
(d) Repeat steps (b) and (c) above until hydraulic oil is at operating tem-
perature.
NOTE
Hydraulic oil is at or near operating temperature when tube (3) is warm
to touch.
(5) With engine operating at full throttle, place and hold BUCKET control le-
ver (2) in CROWD position. Read pressure gage indication. Pressure gage
shall indicate 2300 ±50 psi. If pressure gage indication is not correct,
go to step (6) below otherwise go to step (7) below.
(6) With engine operating at full throttle, place and hold
LIFT ARM control lever (4) in RAISE position. Read
pressure gage indication. Pressure gage shall indicate
2300 ±50 psi. If pressure gage indication is not cor-
rect, turn off engine and adjust main relief valve
pressure setting (page 3-617) below.
(7) Turn off engine and operate hydraulic control levers
several times to relieve hydraulic pressure.
(8) Disconnect pressure gage from quick disconnect coupling
(1) and reinstall cap on quick disconnect coupling.
