DISASSEMBLY (SHEET 3 OF 4)
In following step, hold coil (11) against spring (21) tension when
loosening screw (13). Failure to do so could cause parts to fly out of
detent housing causing serious injury to personnel.
NOTE
Spring (22) and washer (24) may be removed with stud (17) in following
step.

Loosen screw (13) while holding coil (11) against spring (21) tension. If
tape is around coils (11 and 15) and spacer (12) and screw (13) is not
loosened from stud (17), remove coils (11 and 15), spacer (12), screw
(13), washers (14 and 16), stud (17), washer (19), spring (22), and
washer (24) as an assembly and go to step (16) below. If tape is around
coils (11 and 15) and spacer (12) and screw (13) is loosened from stud
(17),
remove coil (11 and 15), spacer (12), screw (13), and washers (14
and 16) as an assembly and go to step (16) below. If tape is not used,
loosen and remove screw (13), washer (14), and stud (17) as an assembly.
If screw (13) is loosened from stud (17), remove screw and washer only
and go to step (20) below.
Remove and discard tape securing coils (11 and 15) and spacer (12); go to
step (17) below.
Tag and unsolder coil (11 and 15) wires; go to step (18) below.
Separate coils (11 and 15) and spacer (12). If screw (13) was not loos-
ened from stud (17) and washer (24) and spring (22) were removed with
stud (17), work washer (24) from stud (17) and remove spring (22) and
washer (19). Remove screw (13) and washer (14) from stud (17). Go to step
(19) below.
Remove detent housing (18) , washer (19) if screw (13) was loosened from
stud (17), spring seat (20), spring (21) and spring (22) and washer (24)
if screw (13) was loosened from stud (17), and spring seat (23). Go to
step (24) below.
Remove coil (15), washer (16), and detent housing (18).
Remove washer (19) and spring seat (20) from spring (21).
Remove two springs (21 and 22), spring seat (23), and washer (24).
If not already removed, unscrew and remove stud (17) from spool (29).
Remove retainer (25), then remove O-ring (26) from spool (29). Discard
O-r ing.
Remove retainer (27), then remove O-ring (28) from spool (29) bore.
Discard O-ring.
