RAIL TIEDOWN PROCEDURES ON A DODX RAIL CAR

924G WHEEL LOADER WITH FORKS AND 2-1/2-YARD BUCKET
1.
Install forklift kit onto 924G Wheel Loader in accordance with WP 0005 00.
2.
Engage 2-1/2-yard bucket from the front. Ensure bucket is fully engaged; cutting edge of bucket is against rear of fork
tine and teeth of bucket are along the edge of fork carriage. Bucket should be centered on fork carriage and forks should
be positioned to allow for full engagement.
3.
Drive assemblage onto rail car. Assemblage should be centered on DODX rail car.
4.
Place a 3/4-in. sheet of plywood underneath fork tines/bucket to prevent metal contact with rail car.
5.
Position three rail tiedown chains between front tire of loader and teeth of bucket. Two tiedown chains should be placed
in outer rail and one in the inner rail (as shown).
