DO NOT service cooling system unless engine has been
allowed to cool down. This is a pressurized cooling system
and escaping steam or hot coolant may result in serious
burns.
a. Open both engine enclosure access
doors. Open radiator cooling fan
housing to expose radiator (TM 5-
3805-290-10).
WARN I N G
Particles blown by compressed air are hazardous. Use a
maximum of 30 psi (207 kPa) when cleaning components.
DO NOT direct compressed air against human skin. Make
sure air stream is directed away from user and other
personnel in the area. To prevent injury, user must wear
protective goggles or face shield. Failure to follow this
warning may result in injury to personnel.
b. Use compressed air to clean radiator
cooling fins and hydraulic oil cooler.
