Install bracket (8) on plate (14) with two screws (13), new lockwashers (12), and nuts (11).
6.
Install cap holder (10) on bracket (8) with screw (9).
N OT E
Protective cap can be installed on valve.
7.
Install valve (2) on bracket (8) with clamp (7) and two
screws (6).

Install adapter (5) on valve (2).
9.
Connect plastic tubing (4) to adapter (5).
10.
Connect valve (2) to engine wiring harness (3).
11.
Install new tiedown strap (1) to secure wiring harness (3).

12.
Check operation of ether starting aid (TM 5-3805-290-10) only when temperature is below 32F (0C) and ensure there
are no ether leaks.
