cedure. Ensure any lifting equipment used is in good condition and of suitable load capacity. Keep clear of
heavy parts supported only by lifting equipment. Failure to follow this warning may result in injury or
death to personnel.
C AU T I O N
Place cylinder head on surface that will not scratch face of cylinder head.

Cylinder head weighs 135 lb (61 kg).

With assistance, remove cylinder head (7) from cylin-
der block (8).
7.
Remove link bracket and lifting equipment from cyl-
inder head (7).

Note location of dowels on each end of cylinder block. Dowels hold cylinder head gasket in place when cyl-
inder head is installed.

Remove and discard cylinder head gasket (10).
