Warm hydraulic oil to 120 to 150F (49 to 65C) for accurate results.
9.
Start and run engine at low idle (TM 5-3805-291-10).
N OT E
In the following steps, do not keep lift control lever in full RAISE position for more than five seconds while
pressure is at relief setting.
10.
Raise work tool to full RAISE position (TM 5-3805-291-10). Hold lift control lever in full RAISE position.
11.
Increase engine speed to high idle (TM 5-3805-291-10).
N OT E
Main relief valve pressure setting should be 4,500 100 psi (31,000 690 kPa).
12.
Record main relief valve pressure reading.
13.
Decrease engine speed to low idle (TM 5-3805-291-10).
14.
If main relief valve pressure setting is correct, proceed to step 24.
15.
If main relief valve pressure setting is NOT correct, proceed with steps 16 thru 23.
16.
Position lift arms (19) on jack stands.
