10. After 28 to 29 inHg (95 to 98 kPa) vacuum has been reached and held for an additional 90 minutes, close man-
ifold gauge set (Figure 2, Item 2) and valves (Figure 2, Items 3 and 7) completely.
11. Turn OFF vacuum pump. Refer to vacuum pump OEM manual for operation instructions.

Excessive vacuum loss is an indicaton of a possible leak in the system.

Amount of vacuum loss in 5 minutes must no exceed 2 inHg (7 kPa). If vacuum loss

exceeds maximum, repair all leaks and repeat steps 1 through 11.
12. If vacuum loss does not exceed 2 inHg (7 kPa) in 5 minutes, system is ready to charge.
