Bypass Switch.
Filter Plugged Event Code -
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
Continued
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
2. Remove nut (Figure 1, Item 2),
lockwasher (Figure 1, Item 3), and
rear frame wiring harness
connector (Figure 1, Item 1) from
hydraulic filter bypass switch
(Figure 1, Item 4). Discard
lockwasher.
3. Turn battery disconnect switch to
ON position (TM 5-3805-298-10).
4. Start and idle engine until normal
operating temperature (hydraulic
oil 110F) is reached (TM 5-3805-
298-10).
5. Using MSD (WP 0008), verify
Event Code E0236 Not Active -
event code E0236 is not active.
Replace hydraulic filter bypass switch
(WP 0277).
Proceed to Test Step 6.
Event Code E0236 Is Active - Proceed
to Test Step 4.
