10. Open cap (Figure 3, Item 4) on
engine wiring harness (Figure 3,
Item 3) at starter motor (Figure 3,
Item 2).
11. Ensure battery disconnect switch
and ignition switch are in the ON
position (TM 5-3805-298-10).
NOTE
Have an assistant hold the ignition switch in the start position (TM 5-
3805-298-10) during the next step.
12. Using a digital multimeter
Voltage 18 to 26 V - Proceed to step 13.
(WP 0174), place red lead of
Voltage Less Than 18 V - Proceed to
digital multimeter in hole (Figure 3, Test Step 5.
Item 1) on engine wiring harness
(Figure 3, Item 3), and place black
lead of digital multimeter on
machine ground. Measure voltage
with ignition switch in the start
position (TM 5-3805-298-10).
