Test Step 3. Test for Faulty Remote
FNR Switch.
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
2. Remove jumper wire from terminal
3 and terminal 4 of connector C of
transmission shift lever
(WP 0012, Figure 77).
3. Connect C-C50 (WP 0012,
Figure 79) to transmission shift
lever (WP 0012, Figure 77)
connector C.
4. Turn battery disconnect switch and
ignition switch to ON position
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
5. Shift transmission shift lever to N
position (TM 5-3805-298-10).
6. Turn remote Transmission Direc-
tion Switch to F position and select
first gear (TM 5-3805-298-10).
7. Take note if Shift Lever Position
Value on MSD reads 1F.
8. Select second gear (TM 5-3805-
298-10) and take note if Shift
Lever Position Value on MSD
reads 2F.
9. Select third gear (TM 5-3805-298-
10) and take note if Shift Lever
Position Value on MSD reads 3F
10. Select fourth gear (TM 5-3805-
298-10) and take note if Shift
Lever Position Value on MSD
reads 4F.
