Test Step 4. Test Wiring Harness
from Remote Direction Switch.
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
2. Remove operator console cover
for access to wiring harness
connectors (WP 0380).
3. Disconnect connector C-C23
(WP 0012, Figure 80) from
direction and downshift switches
(WP 0012, Figure 81).
4. Install a jumper wire between
terminal 1 and terminal 4 of
connector C-C23 (WP 0012,
Figure 80).
5. Wait one minute for ECM to power
down. Turn battery disconnect
switch and ignition switch to ON
position (TM 5-3805-298-10).
6. Observe Shift Lever Position Value
Shift Lever Position Value Is 1F -
on MSD (WP 0008).
Proceed to step 6.
Shift Lever Position Value Is DATA
FAULT - Replace lower cab wiring
harness (WP 0291).
Proceed to Test Step 9.
7. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
8. Move jumper wire to terminal 1
and terminal 6 of connector C-C23
(WP 0012, Figure 80).
