1. Disconnect connector P-C1
(WP 0012, Figure 53) from
connector C-C15 (WP 0012,
Figure 52).
2. Using digital multimeter
Resistance 5.0 Ohms or Less
(WP 0174), measure resistance
Replace lower cab wiring harness
between connector P-C1
(WP 0291).
(WP 0012, Figure 53) terminal 11
Proceed to Test Step 5.
and terminal 27.
Resistance Greater Than 5.0 Ohms
Replace transmission wiring harness
(WP 0298).
Proceed to Test Step 5.
Test Step 5. Verify Malfunction Is
Resolved.
1. Ensure all wiring harness
connectors are connected.
2. Install transmission ECM cover
(WP 0266).
3. Install left and right lower cab
access panels (WP 0347).
4. Install right engine access panel
(WP 0348).
5. Apply and hold service brake, start
Diagnostic Code 1402-5 Solenoid
engine, and shift transmission into
Valve 2 (Forward High) Current
fourth gear forward
Below Normal Becomes Inactive
(TM 5-3805-298-10). Using MSD,
Troubleshooting complete.
check for active diagnostic codes
