REMOVAL

WARNING
Use caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use assistance
during procedure. Ensure that any lifting device used is in good condition and of suitable
load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure to follow
this warning may cause injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
Fork carriage weighs 667 lb (303 kg).
This procedure removes left fork. Follow same steps for right fork.
1. Attach suitable lifting device to fork carriage (Figure 1, Item 1).
2. Using lifting device, raise fork carriage (Figure 1, Item 1) until fork support rod (Figure 1, Item 2) is flush with
bottom end of slide (Figure 1, Item 7).
3. Loosen two bolts (Figure 1, Item 3) to allow movement of forks (Figure 1, Item 8).
NOTE
Remove left side plate when removing right side fork.
Remove right side plate when removing left side fork.
4. Remove two bolts (Figure 1, Item 4), washers (Figure 1, Item 5), and plate (Figure 1, Item 6) from both sides of
fork carriage (Figure 1, Item 1).
