NOTE
The following procedure is for replacing one bucket wear plate. Use same procedure to
replace additional wear plates.
The wear plates can be rotated and reused if the second edge is not worn.
Note position and orientation of wear plates.
REMOVAL

1. Support bucket assembly (Figure 1, Item 1) and opened clam shell (Figure 1, Item 6) using trestle jacks
(Figure 1, Item 5) (TM 5-3805-298-10).
NOTE
Note orientation of nuts.
2. With assistance, remove four nuts (Figure 1, Item 4), bolts (Figure 1, Item 3), and wear plate (Figure 1, Item 2)
from bucket assembly (Figure 1, Item 1).
