Fuel System

1. The fuel tank mounts on left side of BHL. The fuel tank capacity is 31.4 gal. (119 L).
2. The low-pressure fuel pump mounts on the engine. The low-pressure fuel pump is a mechanical diaphragm-
type pump, which is driven by an eccentric lobe on the camshaft. The low-pressure fuel pump draws fuel from
the fuel tank. The low-pressure fuel pump also has a priming lever, which is used for bleeding air from the fuel
system.

3. The high-pressure fuel pump mounts on the timing case cover. The high-pressure fuel pump increases fuel
pressure and delivers the fuel to the fuel injectors at the correct time and sequence.
