1. Turn ignition switch to the off posi-
tion (TM 5-2420-231-10) and dis-
connect batteries (WP 0157).
2. Remove bolt from cover (Figure 2,
Item 4).
3. Remove nut (Figure 2, Item 8), bolt
(Figure 2, Item 2), washer (Figure
2, Item 3), lockwasher (Figure 2,
Item 7), three clamps (Figure 2,
Item 6), two spacers (Figure 2,
Item 1), and cover (Figure 2,
Item 5) from machine. Discard
lockwasher.
