1. Clean area around engine oil dipstick (Figure 1, Item 1). Remove dipstick (Figure 1, Item 1) and wipe clean.
Reinsert dipstick into engine, remove dipstick, and inspect dipstick for indications of contamination.
2. Clean area around oil filler cap (Figure 1, Item 2) and remove oil filler cap from oil filler tube (Figure 1, Item 3).
