FILL ENGINE OIL

1. Add engine oil. Refer to TM 5-2420-231-10.
2. Install oil filler cap (Figure 4, Item 2) on oil filler tube (Figure 4, Item 3).
3. Start engine and allow it to warm up (TM 5-2420-231-10). Check for leaks.
4. Turn engine off (TM 5-2420-231-10) and let it sit for 5 minutes.
5. Check oil level on engine oil dipstick (Figure 4, Item 1). Oil should be visible between top (MAX) and bottom
(MIN) lines at lower end of dipstick. Add oil through oil filler tube as needed until dipstick reading is correct.
