OIL FILTER REMOVAL

WARNING
Lubricating oil is very slippery. Immediately wipe up any spills. Failure to follow this
warning may result in injury to personnel.
1. Remove oil filter element (Figure 3, Item 3) and gasket (Figure 3, Item 2) from filter head (Figure 3, Item 1).

2. Drain excess engine oil into drain pan. Dispose of engine oil and oil filter element IAW unit's SOP.

Clean and inspect all parts IAW Mechanical General Maintenance Instructions (WP 0369).

OIL FILTER INSTALLATION

1. Lightly coat gasket (Figure 3, Item 2) on new oil filter element (Figure 3, Item 3) with new engine oil.
2. Install oil filter element (Figure 3, Item 3) by hand until gasket contacts filter head (Figure 3, Item 1). Tighten oil
filter element an additional half turn.
