Note location and quantity of washers to aid in installation.
4. Remove two retaining rings (Figure 3, Item 2) and washers (Figure 3, Item 3) from backhoe bucket cylinder
(Figure 3, Item 5).
5. Remove two retaining rings (Figure 3, Item 6) and spacer sleeve (Figure 3, Item 8) from backhoe bucket cylin-
der (Figure 3, Item 5).
6. Attach lifting device (Figure 3, Item 9) and sling (Figure 3, Item 4) to support backhoe bucket cylinder
(Figure 3, Item 5).
WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure to
follow this warning may result in injury or death to personnel.
Use extreme caution when removing piston side pin, bucket linkage will fall. Keep hands
and feet clear while removing pin from cylinder.
NOTE
Backhoe bucket cylinder weighs 140 lb (65 kg).
7. With lifting device, remove two pins (Figure 3, Items 1 and 7) and backhoe bucket cylinder (Figure 3, Item 5)
from machine.
8. Lower backhoe bucket cylinder (Figure 3, Item 5) to flat surface and remove sling (Figure 3, Item 4) and lifting
device (Figure 3, Item 9).
