REMOVAL

1. Remove tiedown strap (Figure 1, Item 2) from A/C compressor mounting bracket (Figure 1, Item 9). Discard
tiedown strap.
2. Disconnect A/C compressor clutch wire (Figure 1, Item 1) from vehicle wiring harness (Figure 1, Item 8).
3. Disconnect A/C discharge hose (Figure 1, Item 3) and remove O-ring (Figure 1, Item 4) from A/C compressor
(Figure 1, Item 7). Discard O-ring.
4. Disconnect A/C suction hose (Figure 1, Item 5) and remove O-ring (Figure 1, Item 6) from A/C compressor
(Figure 1, Item 7). Discard O-ring.

5. Loosen bolt (Figure 2, Item 1) on A/C compressor adjustment bracket (Figure 2, Item 3).
6. Loosen nut (Figure 2, Item 12) and bolt (Figure 2, Item 7) on A/C compressor mounting bracket
(Figure 2, Item 13).
7. Push A/C compressor mounting bracket (Figure 2, Item 13) toward engine (Figure 2, Item 4) and remove A/C
compressor V-belt (Figure 2, Item 15) from A/C compressor pulley (Figure 2, Item 14) and engine drive pulley
(Figure 2, Item 16).
8. Remove bolt (Figure 2, Item 1) and two washers (Figure 2, Item 2) from A/C compressor adjustment bracket
(Figure 2, Item 3) and engine (Figure 2, Item 4).
NOTE
Support A/C compressor while removing bolt.
9. Remove bolt (Figure 2, Item 7), two washers (Figure 2, Item 8), nut (Figure 2, Item 12), and A/C compressor
mounting bracket (Figure 2, Item 13) from A/C compressor support mount (Figure 2, Item 11).
10. Remove three bolts (Figure 2, Item 9), washers (Figure 2, Item 10), bolt (Figure 2, Item 5), washer (Figure 2,
Item 6), and A/C compressor support mount (Figure 2, Item 11).
