4. Apply a light coat of engine oil to the
gasket of the new filter.
7. Install the crankcase drain plug.
5. Install the new filter by hand.
8. Fill the crankcase with new oil. See
the “Refill Capacities” chart under “Fuel,
Coolant and Lubricant Specifications. ”
9. Start the engine and allow the oil to
warm. Check for leaks.
6. When the gasket contacts the filter
base, tighten the filter 1/2 turn more.
