Make sure the rubber torus seals are clean and
dry. Make sure all metal surfaces that make
contact with the rubber torus seals are clean
and dry. Use tool (A) to install the Duo-Cone
seal in the retainer. Put a small amount of clean
oil on the surfaces of the metal seals that make
contact with each other.
Install bearing cone (1) on the spindle.
Lower the temperature of bearing cups (2) and
install them in the wheel assembly.
Put brake disc (3) in position on the wheel
assembly and install the bolts. Tighten the bolts
to a torque of 270 ± 25 N·m (200 ± 18 lb.ft.).
Make sure rubber torus seals are clean and dry.
Make sure all metal surfaces that make contact
with the rubber torus seals are clean and dry.
Use tool (A) to install the Duo-Cone seal in the
wheel assembly. Put a small amount of clean oil
on the surfaces of the metal seals that make
contact with each other.
