Don-t attempt to ford even the narrowest stream more than 30-inches deep.Make sure the engine is operating at full efficiency before fording.b.DuringFording.Shift the transmission in low speed range and speed up the en-gine to minimize the danger of stalling. Enter the water slowly to minimize surgesof backwash into the engine compartment. Speed must not exceed three to four mph.
