Disconnect connector from solenoid by grasping with your fingers and firmly p u l l i n g u p o n i t. Connect multimeter between connector contact to which black-orange wire connected and chassis frame, T e l l a s s i s t a n t t o p l a c e i g n i t i o n k ey switch in start position and press COLD START switch at same time. Multimeter should indicate 24 volts. a. If multimeter indicates 24 volts, replace solenoid (page 4-50). b. If multimeter does not indicate 24 volts, remove right instrument panel (page 5-48) and replace COLD START 9. LOW ENGINE OIL PRESSURE. Step 1.
