11-7. HYDRAULIC FILTER MAINTENANCE
a. Servicing (SHEET 1 OF 2).
This task covers servicing (replacement) of hydrau-
lic system oil filter. A new filter shall be installed after every 500 hours of
operation or when the hydraulic filter warning light is illuminated.
TOOLS: Oil filter wrench
MATERIALS/PARTS: Clean cloths (Appendix C, item 1)
Cleaning solvent P-D-680 (Appendix C, item 2)
Hydraulic oil (Appendix C, item 13)
Filter kit (FSCM 10988 PN A45625)
(1) Unlock and open front access
door and slowly loosen

Dry cleaning solvent P-D-680 used to
clean parts is toxic and flammable.
Wear protective goggles and gloves
a n d u s e o n l y i n a w e l l v e n t i l a t e d
area. Avoid contact with skin, eyes
a n d c l o t h e s a n d d o n t b r e a t h e
vapors. Do not use near open flame
o r e x c e s s i v e h e a t a n d d o n t s m o ke
w h e n u s i n g i t .

contact with eyes is made, wash eyes
w i t h w a t e r a n d g e t m e d i c a l a i d
immediately.
( 2 ) C l e a n f i l t e r h e a d a n d f i l t e r ( 2 )
using clean cloth moistened with
cleaning solvent P-D-680. Dry
using clean cloth.
( 3 ) U s i n g f i l t e r w r e n c h, turn filter (2) counterclockwise to remove. Discard
f i l t e r ( 2 ) a n d g a s k e t ( 3 ) .
