CORRECTIVE ACTION
6. LIFT CYLINDER ASSEMBLIES OPERATING SLUGGISHLY OR POORLY (ALL OTHER CYLINDERS
OPERATING OKAY).
Step 1.
Start engine and turn loader completely to left to gain access to
control valve assembly spools and linkage.
Shut off engine and apply parking brake.
Position a machinists rule on control valve assembly body next to
lift arm spool.
Using end of clevis as a reference point, tell assistant to place
LIFT ARM control lever in RAISE position while you measure travel of
c l e v i s .
Clevis should move 0.44 inch approximately.
Tell assistant to place LIFT ARM control lever in NEUT. position,
then move it to LOWER position while you measure travel of clevis
from NEUT. to LOWER position.
Clevis should move 0.44 inch approximately.
Tell assistant to place LIFT ARM control lever in NEUT. position,
then move it to FLOAT position while you measure travel of clevis
from NEUT. to FLOAT position.
Clevis should move 0.88 inch approximately.
a. If measurements are not as specified above, notify next higher
maintenance level to adjust control valve assembly linkage.
b. If measurements are as specified above, go to step 2 below.
